Burma, ghosts and airport ...

Recently a paper was published by an anthropologist living in Asia and recounts several anecdotes about the presence of ghosts and the fact that these spirits disrupt aviation in that region.

According to several accounts of an airline pilot, on returning to the cockpit of the plane they would have seen that the autostart function was switched without anyone had touched him. According to one protocol drivers can get into the cockpit and they had not switched this feature. 

Another story tells of a employee of an airport would have seen a man next to her, he was there to fix it without moving. According to one witness other than he would have seen this strange character who nevertheless remained a long time. For locals it would be ghosts, called Thayay, the equivalent of our minds. 

Air traffic controllers say that ghosts disrupt traffic control, or for the porters, generated the smooth transit of luggage. Testimonials are numerous and sometimes some people are even scared. 

In Asia there are many superstitions associated with spirits and, in different cases, it seems that for employees of airline companies think that due to a number of major accident some minds would come back to haunt him. For others the fact that some of their patrons would shady deals would create bad karma that would be because of all the accidents. 

Old beliefs are still active in many parts of the world, and some put in causes ghosts and spirits in accidents and disasters are sometimes linked to human error or to nature itself.
